Mock Parent/ Teacher Conference

I think that the conference went well. I know that I had some awkward time that I was trying to think of something to say and I said "um" too many times. I think that Katie was a good parent and that I incorporated her into the conversation. I think that I could have talked more like a teacher and not just read what I had. When we went into the difficult situation I think that we both did a good job of keeping on task and answering the questions. Overall I think that it went well.

Drug and Alcohol Families

After watching this video I'm 100% sure that I will never use Meth. Some of those images are really disturbing and gross and I don't think that I could ever do that. I mean they did not even look healthy or anything close to it. I couldn't be like that.

I think that a child in my classroom wouldn't be as prepared as the other kids. They would not have the help of their parents with their homework or anything. They also might be abused and then they just won't pay attention or they will have issues other than the meth problem. Or if they are taken from their home they might be in a foster home or in foster care. Then they wouldn't want to concentrate in school because they don't think that anyone wants them so why pay attention in school?
