Reflection 2 - Poverty in America

Usually, poverty can't be helped. Parents are working , two or more jobs, and they just can't keep up with the bills. The kids can't help it and sometimes they have to be the adult. The parents are gone working all the time and the oldest gets to take care of the younger ones, if there are any. Since they are doing a lot of work they don't have time to do their own work in school therefore they don't get the education that they need or have the opportunity to go to college to further their education. They also don't get the health care that they need because the parents can't afford it.
I think don't know how I would address these problems. But, I think that I would understand and not single them out in class. I know that they don't have the best life and can't do everything like all the other kids. But, I wouldn't give them slack and I would make them work hard because people never know when a great opportunity will happen and they might just get something that will help them out or get them a good education or maybe get them to college.
